The Abduction Of Ganymede

This is part of my Mythology series, which was exhibited in my Drawing on a Theme class in May 2008. My theme was Greek Mythological lovers. Other subthemes include the common color scheme and the trees. All works in the series were done with watercolor and pen & ink on watercolor paper.

This particular piece depicts the lust of Zeus for young Ganymede, who he kidnapped transformed into an eagle, and then turned him into the new cupbearer of the Olympians.
